Mammals are a very unique group of endothermic vertebrate animals. They live in all sorts of environments, from land to sea. Mammals are creatures that have some type of fur or hair covering their bodies. In general, all mammals share the same body structure. Although this isn’t obvious at first, there are indications, such as the skeleton or genes, that show that animals in this category belong here. Unlike other animals, most mammals give birth to their young. A mammal that is an exception to this rule is the platypus.
